The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kazakhstan held a round of political talks in Muscat today.<\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, renewable energy, tourism and food security. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of current regional and international issues of common concern.<\/p>\n

The Omani side was headed by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, while the Kazakh side was headed by Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n

The two Foreign Ministers also signed an agreement establishing an Omani-Kazakh joint committee and a memorandum of understanding on political consultations.<\/p>\n

On the Omani side, the meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister\u2019s Office; Ambassador Munther bin Mahfouz Almandhari, Head of the International Organisations Department; Ambassador Sheikh Hamad Alrawahi, Head of the International Cooperation Department; \u00a0Ambassador Muhametaliuly Najmuddin, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Oman and a number officials from both sides.<\/p>\n
