{"id":3515,"date":"2022-02-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/3515\/"},"modified":"2026-03-22T11:10:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-22T11:10:39","slug":"oman-at-indo-pacific-cooperation-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/en\/3515\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman at Indo Pacific Cooperation Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Foreign Ministry, took part in the Ministerial Forum for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, which was held in the French capital, Paris today.<\/p>\n<p>The Sultanate of Oman&#8217;s delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Al Harthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16372 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u0662Oman-participate-Ministerial-Forum-the-Indo-Pacific-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"327\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Ministerial forum was inaugurated by Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Foreign Minister and Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The forum, which comes within the context of the European strategy for Indo-Pacific cooperation issued on 16 September 2021, addressed a range of global issues related to climate, biodiversity, oceans, clean energy and health, as well as communication, digital issues, security and defence issues.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Humaid Almaani, Head of the Global Affairs Department at the Omani Foreign Ministry, also participated in the forum.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English translation of the original Arabic text.
