{"id":2015,"date":"2021-11-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/2015\/"},"modified":"2026-03-21T14:39:38","modified_gmt":"2026-03-21T14:39:38","slug":"delegated-by-his-majesty-sayyid-asaad-heads-visit-to-omani-pavilions-51st-national-day-celebration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/en\/2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Delegated by His Majesty, Sayyid Asaad heads visit to Omani Pavilion\u2019s 51st National Day celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, today led a delegation taking part in the celebrations of Oman&#8217;s 51st National Day at the Omani Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).<\/p>\n<p>The delegation comprised Sayyid Hamood Faisal Al Busaidi, Interior Minister; Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and a number of senior officials.<\/p>\n<p>Sayyid Asa&#8217;ad and his accompanying delegation were received at the Leadership Pavilion by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai and Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony which was held at Al Wasl Plaza, Expo 2020 Dubai, began with the hoisting the Sultanate of Oman\u2019s flag and the playing of the Royal Anthem.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13374 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/FEtiI-MWUAoayrV-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"494\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In his speech read out by Qais Al Yousef, Sayyid Asaad said: \u201cOman\u2019s participation in this international event stems from the deep-rooted relations of the two countries.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-13372 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/FEti2cUXMAcUg_d-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"471\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Through its participation in this major global event, the speech continued, the Sultanate of Oman demonstrates to visitors to Oman\u2019s pavilion the aspirations of government institutions and private establishments, their innovations, and the contributions of Omani Youth \u2013 the mainstay of the nation\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>The speech added that the Omani pavilion embodied the talents of Omani youth, who made up the entire team involved in the management and development of the pavilion\u2019s content.<\/p>\n<p>Oman\u2019s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai takes its visitors on an inspirational journey that reflects the interaction of minds across the ages. It tells the story of modern Oman\u2019s age-old experience, laying emphasis on true opportunities and the Sultanate&#8217;s bright future within the context of Oman Vision 2040.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates\u2019 Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in turn said: \u201cToday we, at Expo 2020 Dubai, celebrate the Sultanate of Oman\u2019s National Day\u201d. He expressed his best wishes for His Majesty the Sultan, congratulated the government and wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>A military band (comprising the Royal Guards of Oman and the Royal Cavalry) put on an impressive musical performance that appealed to a large crowd of visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Sayyid Asaad and his accompanying delegation then went on a tour of the Omani Pavilion and viewed its contents, which highlight four main themes: Sustainability, Youth Care, Communication and Knowledge. It showcases various aspects of domestic development in Oman and the country\u2019s Renewed Renaissance and future visions.<\/p>\n<p>His Highness listened to a briefing about the three main sections within the pavilion: \u201cThe Frankincense Tree\u201d (ground floor), \u201cSustainability\u201d and \u201cThe Harvest\u201d (first floor), and \u201cThe Future\u201d (second floor).<\/p>\n<p>Sayyid Asaad later visited the UAE pavilion and was received, along with his delegation, by Sheikh Hamdan Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, Heir Apparent of Dubai \u00a0and Chairman of the UAE Executive Council, and Sheikh Ahmed Said Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Aviation Authority \u00a0and Chairman of Dubai Expo 2020 Supreme Committee. The pavilion offers an overview of the UAE\u2019s growth and includes exhibits reflecting the country\u2019s culture and achievements. On the sidelines of the ceremony, various popular shows were held, along with a military music show in the corridors of the pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to Oman News Agency,\u00a0Sayyid Dr. Ahmed Hilal Al Busaidi, Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates said : &#8220;Undoubtedly, His Majesty the Sultan&#8217;s delegation of HH Sayyid Asa&#8217;ad bin Tarik al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and the high-level accompanying delegation, reflect the sincere appreciation and attention accorded by the Sultanate of Oman and its wise leadership to the sisterly United Arab Emirates, its leadership and people, and to Expo 2020 which is being held for the first time in the Middle East, in Dubai.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Sultanate of Oman seeks to achieve a successful and distinguished participation in Expo 2020 Dubai by shedding light on its civilised and cultural heritage and its bright future, the ambassador added. He pointed out that Oman&#8217;s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai is in line with the themes presented at this global event and is consistent with Oman&#8217;s visions and aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador further said that through this participation, the Sultanate of Oman aims to highlight its geography, history and civilisation, as well as the development achievements accomplished in various fields.
