His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued Royal decree No. 35/2023 appointing a Permanent Representative for the Sultanate of Oman to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The decree appoints Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Salim Alshanfari, Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, as Oman’s Permanent Representative to ASEAN.
