His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a meeting with Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, at Hyderabad House in the capital, New Delhi.

They talked about the strength of Omani-Indian relations and the importance of pushing them towards new horizons. They also discussed other matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by members of the official Omani delegation: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; and Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office. Senior Indian officials were also present.

His Majesty the Sultan and the Prime Minister also held a separate private meeting.
